GENERAL GENERAL P INFORMATION JEE UNIVERSAL VEHI DOMESTIC PARTS ORDERING INFORMATION Using this form Dealers are to place written parts orders with the Region or Distributor under whom they are franchised Orders are to be prepared in duplicate original to be submitted e duplicate to be retained for record Do not order parts in a letter Do not discussparts in a letter treating on any other subject Parts positively must be ordered by part number and by name in full as shown in the latest corrected price list If similar parts are used on both the right and left hand sides of a vehicle specify which side the new part or parts are for as a number of parts made for right and left sides are not interchangeable When ordering parts by telegram or phone BE SURE the message is prepaid and confirm by regular order through mail bearing notation CONFIRMATION WIRE OR PHONE ORDER DATE When differential gears are ordered the number of teeth in both drive and pinion gears should be given THE SERIAL NUMBER AND MODEL OF VEHICLE MUST BE LISTED ON ALL DEADLINE ORDERS Current production vehicles have a Paint and Trim Option Plate affixed to the engine side of the dash panel on the right hand side of the vehicle This option plate should be utilized to determine paint colors to be used and for ordering trim parts for vehicles having the option plate attached The part number of the part desired along with the part description and trim option number should be shown on order for all trim parts Paint or Trim Option 999 designates special paint or trim and the vehicle serial number should be supplied When ordering parts for vehicles not equipped with the option plate samples of the upholstery or trimming should accompany orders for trim parts Serial number model of vehicle and body type should also be given Order in unit package quantities shown in price list whenever possible Regions or Distributors will attempt to make shipments in accordance with Dealer s request State definite shipping instruction on other than scheduled stock orders Express Air Express Parcel Post or Freight Unless designated shipment will be made by Motor Freight or Parcel Post at Region s or Distributor s discretion All shipments are properly packed and in good order when delivered to the trans portation company Region or Distributor responsibility ends with such delivery When a damaged shipment is received claims should be filed immediately against the carrier making delivery All claims for shortages or errors in packing must be made to the Region or Distributor within ten 10 days from receipt of shipment and must be accompanied by the original packing slip with proper notation of damage or shortage signed by the transportation company at destination TRANSPORTATION CHARGES Region or Distributor will ship all parts to Dealers with transportation charges collect if by Express Air Express Air Freight or Bus TERMS Terms of payment shall be those currently in effect between Region or Distributor and Dealer 4
